Anthropic announced a $65 billion Series H at a $965 billion post-money valuation, and the number lands like a piano dropped into the middle of the AI market. It is hard to read quietly. Fewer support escalations, better follow-up, lower review time, faster onboarding, and less duplicate work are the numbers that make AI adoption survive budget season.
The Anthropic round also reminds you to keep optionality. A workflow should depend on standards and process clarity before it depends on a single vendor. Keep prompts, rules, context files, and evaluation criteria outside the tool whenever possible. Treat the model as a powerful worker inside a system you own, rather than the system itself.
